Cheeky Paws is coming to Frankston, proudly sponsored by the Cheeky Squire, from 12pm until 5pm on Sunday 27th of October 2019.

The event aims to bring the local community together and celebrate all that is great about being a dog owner, as well as providing a fun environment to sit back, relax and enjoy a day out! Cheeky Paws will feature over 25 market stalls, food trucks, activities for dogs and their owners, live music and plenty of cheeky brews! If you have a pooch, bring them along, or if you want to come along and admire or pat other people’s dogs, then we welcome you too!

ABOUT THE CHEEKY SQUIRE

Located in the heart of Frankston, The Cheeky Squire brings the cheeky rogue attitude of James Squire to the Mornington Peninsula. Known as Australia’s first brewer, James Squire was a risk taker at heart who turned his life around from being a convict on the First Fleet to become the colony’s first and most sought after brewer. With the James Squire history in mind, the Cheeky Squire has been renovated with a sense of history and storytelling. Featuring the full James Squire range on tap as well as a few limited release craft beers, the Cheeky Squire is the perfect spot for an after-work drink or meal.

DOG AGILITY ACTIVITIES

Come along to Cheeky Paws Doggy Day Out in Frankston and try your dog with some agility equipment.  Practicing agility is a great way to create a strong bond between you and your best friend, plus it can be lots of fun for you and your pooch.  Our agility zone is free to use and includes tunnels, jumps, weaving poles, doggy splash zones and ball pits.

FLIPPING DISC DOGZ

Do you think your dog has some good tricks? This Cheeky Paws Doggy Day Out, Flipping Disc Dogz, as seen on Australia’s Got Talent.  They will be at Cheeky Paws showcasing their amazing dog tricks.  Come along and watch these dogs perform.

BUBBLE BURSTING MANIA

Does your dog love bubbles? Come on down and join the Cheeky Paws Doggy Day Out event and your dog can enjoy a bubble bursting mania of fun.  Watch them pop, burst and create hours of fun for your pup.

DOG EXPERIENCE ZONE

Aussie Dog Products will be on site providing free dog experience zone stuff full of their toys for your puppy to play with as long as their hearts desire… or until another dog wants to have a turn.  A dog obedience demonstrator will showcasing and teach you how you can enrich your pet’s life with a few key tips and tricks.

DOG COMPETITIONS

Does your puppy have what it takes to win a competition?  This Cheeky Paws Doggy Day Out we will be looking for the Best Trick and Best Dressed.  Our competition will be judged by a panel of judges. Prizes will be provided by PETStock! TV celebrity, Lara Shannon will be judging our competitions along with Mayor Michael O’Reilly and Cheeky Squire manager, Daniel Potter.

Time: 2:30pm – 3:15pm

Cost: Gold coin to enter – all proceeds are donated to our charity partner.  Bring a gold coin on the day.

DOG OBEDIENCE

Watch or join in as Rowena from All Dogs Go to Rowie showcase her dog training methods and results. Dog training is based on leadership, trust and consistency. When properly applied they will give you amazing results.

GUEST JUDGES & MC

Visit the main arena to see television series host from Pooches at Play, Lara Shannon.   Lara will be doing a pet obedience talk called ‘Stop Blaming the Dog’, where she will show us how we reinforce the unwanted behaviour in our dogs and other tips to help curb ‘problem’ behaviours. Let us know any ‘problem’ behaviours you have in your pets on the Facebook event page and Lara might be able to address these issues on the day.
