Bayside Pet Expo is being hosted by the Doggy Day Out team this year. This is a free event is coming to Royal Avenue Park in Sandringham  from 10am until 2pm on Sunday the 17th November 2019.

Bayside Pet Expo will feature live music, over 30 market stalls, food trucks, activities for dogs and their owners, free jumping castles, free face painting, dog training demonstrations, roaming reptile displays and more the whole family can enjoy.

The event aims to bring the local community together and celebrate all that is great about being a pet owner, as well as educating the community on responsible pet ownership and the wellbeing of our pets.

LIVE MUSIC

Enjoy live music from band Chasing Ray

Music you will love to hear, high energy performances and engaging crowd interaction has solidified Chasing Ray as one of Melbourne’s best party bands. Playing the latest Top 40 songs plus all the classics from decades past, Chasing Ray will have you on the dance floor in no time.

DOG AGILITY ACTIVITIES

Come along to Bayside Pet Expo 2019 and try your dog with some agility equipment.  Practicing agility is a great way to create a strong bond between you and your best friend, plus it can be lots of fun for you and your pooch.  Our agility zone is free to use and includes tunnels, jumps, weaving poles, doggy splash zones and ball pits.

DOG COMPETITIONS

Does your puppy have what it takes to win a competition?  This Bayside Pet Expo we will be looking for the Best Trick and Best Dressed.  Our competition will be judged by a panel of judges.

Time: 11:30am – 12pm

Cost: Gold coin to enter – all proceeds are donated to our charity partner.  Bring a gold coin on the day.

DOG JUMP SHOW

Watch as Australian Working Dog Rescue, Nimble and other dogs demonstrate how high they can jump at the Bayside Pet Expo.

Time: 11am – 11:30am

DOG JUMP COMPETITION

Does your dog have a spring in his step?  This Bayside Pet Expo Australian Working Dog Rescue will be hosting an open dog jump competition. Prizes will be available for first and second in small and large dog categories. Over $400 in prizes are to be won, provided by Ziwi

GUEST JUDGES AND MC

Lara Shannon, host of television series Pooches at Play will be MC for the event plus she will be doing a talk on how we can “Stop Blaming the Dog” in the main arena.

FACE PAINTING

Do your kids love face painting, the come along and enjoy free face painting at the Bayside Pet Expo all day!

REPTILE DEMONSTRATIONS

Join the reptile demonstrators as they showcase their reptiles on show including snakes, lizards, frogs and more.

VICTOR AND VICTORIA

Owning pets can be a lot of fun, and pets can provide us with company, stress relief and unconditional love. Pet ownership also teaches children responsibility, and helps them develop their social and nurturing skills. Victor and Victoria’s musical stage show helps children learn about responsible pet ownership and living safely with dogs.

Time: 11am – 11:30am, 12:20pm – 12:50pm

BUBBLE BURSTING MANIA

Does your dog love bubbles? Come on down and join the Bayside Pet Expo and your dog can enjoy a bubble bursting mania of fun. Watch them pop, burst and create hours of fun for your pup.

DOG EXPERIENCE ZONE

Aussie Dog Products will be on site providing free dog experience zone stuff full of their toys for your puppy to play with as long as their hearts desire… or until another dog wants to have a turn.  A dog obedience demonstrator will showcasing and teach you how you can enrich your pet’s life with a few key tips and tricks.
